HOUSEHOLDER HELP YOURSELF DAY

When: Tuesday 23 May – 1PM - 6PM

Flooding is an issue we are all too familiar with. This drop in event, organised by Cockermouth Emergency Response Group, will be packed with useful information from a number of organisations to help you with your household flood resilience.

You can:

  • Learn about property protection (including lower priced in this Cost of Living Crisis) from the Floodhub

  • Sign up directly with the Environment Agency for flood alerts and warnings, plus have the chance to discuss local flood prevention schemes directly with them

  • Learn about United Utilities plans for Crummock Water

  • Discover the innovation being shown here in Cumbria by the CiFR programme using natural flood management in liaison with Natural England

  • Talk to the Local Resilience Forum who work with Cumberland Council in helping communities
