Join the CERG Operations Team

 

Cockermouth Emergency Response Group (CERG) is looking for volunteers to join our Operations Team.

CERG works to help Cockermouth prepare for and respond to emergencies that may affect our community, including severe weather and other local incidents.

 

The Operations Team plays an important practical role in our emergency response, helping to support the community when incidents occur and assisting with CERG’s preparedness throughout the year.

 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for reliable, community-minded volunteers who are willing to work as part of a team and help support Cockermouth during emergency situations.

 

You don’t need to have previous emergency response experience. We are looking for people who are calm, dependable and willing to get involved when needed.

 

As part of the Operations Team, you may be involved in:

• Supporting CERG’s response during flooding and severe weather

• Assisting with practical tasks during emergency incidents

• Helping to keep residents and businesses informed and supported

• Working alongside other CERG volunteers and partner organisations

• Taking part in training and emergency preparedness activities

• Helping to make Cockermouth a safer and more resilient community
