As you may (or may not) be aware we have recently become a Charity. So we have a new Board of Trustees (all existing members of our management committee). This is chaired by Brian Mitchelhill whose sole focus for us is to lead the Trustees to ensure that the organisation continues to be run well. He has stepped back operationally.
Our new Operations director is Paul Mogford, who along with Brian and Hayley Bishop, set up CERG after the floods of 2015. We have also welcomed four new volunteers to our operations team - they were all existing volunteers and answered our calls to step forward. We thank them and you can read more about Ian Allison, Liam Darby, Jacqui Currie and Sue Cliff here.
Next week our friends at The Flood Hub are running a focus week that will look at the various stakeholders involved in flood risk management and the role that they undertake. You might find this useful.
The folks at the Flood Hub have loads of useful information from insurance (both household and businesses) to property flood protection measures, so even if you don't think this is useful, then it's probably worth a good 'ratch' around their website as we say in Cumbria!
