Local contact tracing text messages

People may now find themselves being contacted by the local contact tracing teams by text - and previous experience suggests that some of you might find yourself being asked if these are genuine, or if they're a hoax! The text message will come from "CumbriaCC" and the text will appear as below:

Cumbria County Council COVID-19: Contact Tracing Alert. You may have been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case. Please arrange to get a COVID-19 test as a precaution. Full details: https://www.cumbria.gov.uk/stopthespread

If you have any question call the Cumbria COVID-19 Contact Centre on 0800 783 1968
